about

"The Crepuscular Grove" is second collaboration album of Asuna and Opitope.

"The Crepuscular Grove" have mellow ambient sound texture from acoustic guitar, electric guitar, analog synthesizer, piano, field recoding sound and homemade instrumens. this album has a nostalgic, idyllic, atmosphere. The harmonics of the guitar ticks Clock needle like a fairy singing voice. The sound of the waves and the sound of the wind synchronize with the deep drone sound. this ambinet sound world created by a beautiful melody and casual noises spinning from many years of career passed through unseen improvisational lives.
it is real timeless masterpiece of ambient music !

Asuna

In 1999, ASUNA began producing the installation work and live performance that makes the side of another new meaning and value come to the surface in a specific context is produced. ‘Each Organ’ is his main works. Organ as the device to work through mechanical force or movement (organizations) = (electric motor) and, organ function as an independent body with a fixed set (organ) = (reeds). Organ as musical instruments achieved by actions that they connected. It is an attempt of these to measure the movement of the organ as musical instruments and the movements of the organ as the organization and the organ through the sound that changes every fixed time. Recently, ASUNA has done well the exhibition and performance of keyboards of 100 units called “100KEYBOARDS”. At the same time, his other side live performance narrated works from hardcore punk / hip hop / freak folk noise / experimental onkyo / lo-fi pop / by 100 toys and casiotone, some electronics called “100TOYS”. There sound production, live performance and installation works based in Kanazawa in Japan.

Opitope

Optiope is a duo formed by Tomoyoshi Date and Chihei Hatakeyama in autumn 2002. Tomoyoshi started to make music at the age of 14 being influenced by the Beatles. His music was previously introduced as best demos on the FatCat Records and Mille Plateaux site and make his first appearance on the Spekk compilation "Small Melodies". Chihei started his band career being influenced by hardcore, metal then to German rock and modern classical music. He has released his first solo album in 2006 on the Kranky label (US). Together they organize music event series "Kuala Mute Geek" and label "Kualauk Table".
